This Privacy Policy explains how SubVix handles website, purchase, and app-related data.
1. Local video processing
SubVix is designed to process videos locally on your machine. Videos are not uploaded to SubVix servers for transcription. Subtitle generation uses the bundled faster-whisper model after installation.
2. No account required
SubVix does not require an account, login, or OpenAI API key to use the desktop app after installation.
3. Website analytics
The website uses Vercel Web Analytics and Umami to understand website traffic, measure purchase intent, and improve the site. Vercel Web Analytics does not use third-party cookies for analytics. Analytics services may not load or report every visit, and SubVix does not use their availability to control access to the website or checkout.
4. Marketing attribution
The website stores a limited first-touch attribution record in your browser for approximately 90 days. It may include allowlisted UTM campaign values, the external referring site origin, the initial landing-page path, and a capture timestamp. It does not intentionally store arbitrary query parameters or email addresses in this record. When you open checkout, available campaign, referrer, and landing-page values may be passed to Lemon Squeezy as limited checkout metadata.
5. Payments and checkout
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy. Payment, billing, tax, and checkout information are handled by Lemon Squeezy as the payment and merchant platform. SubVix does not directly process card details.
6. Support communications
If you contact support, SubVix may receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, order details, issue description, screenshots, or logs.
7. App content
SubVix does not require you to upload your videos to a cloud transcription service. If you voluntarily send files or logs to support, those materials are used only to investigate the support request.
8. Third-party services
SubVix uses Vercel for website hosting and analytics, Umami for website analytics and purchase-intent measurement, and Lemon Squeezy for checkout and payment processing.
